Ouija board, a preface
An Ouija board is a device that breaks the barrier and opens the doors of communication between the real world and the spirits of other world. Also, known as talking board, Ouija board is a small piece of the board with letters, figures and words; by means of which folk’s converse with spirits.

It is weird and mystifying, but supposed to know all the answers to your questions. The board rides the horse of mind reading and clairvoyance to win the race of queries put forth by the users. For this, a planchette or a small baton is held at the finger tips, and then navigated to letters or figures to mean words, which are seemingly answers to the questions asked.

Ouija board, method of usage
In order to use an Ouija board, one person lightly touches the fingertips on the rim of the planchette, whereas few others may ask a question whichever, vocally or non-vocally. However, the planchette is first moved in circles across the board, consciously to let it warm up, and then question is asked. It will definitely take some time to respond, and when that time is fully taken by it; the planchette starts moving from letters to numbers to words (yes or no) on the board, thereby forming a word (that implies an answer to your question). It may seem to a bystander that the planchette is consciously moved by the persons operating it, but the fact is the spirit which is called upon during the session, moves it. With more and more questions asked, the speed mounts and the responses become quick, letter by letter, ostensibly with significance.

Ouija board, safe or unsafe?
Though Ouija boards provide a doorway for evil spirits to enter the physical world, it cannot be said that it is dangerous. This is because the device on its own is not unsafe, but rather becomes unsafe due to erroneous direction and overlooked vigilance of people using it. The ill-effects of using it however, include dependence on the board for every minute issues by some people, and thereby becoming addicted to it. Also, some occultists think that the real threat bangs when a person asks the spirit to supply physical evidence, unaware of the fact that he/she is providing the spirit a gateway in a physical world, which is totally unsafe.
