Welcome to the world of Voodoo

world of voodoo

Voodoo is a set of ghostly convictions and potent magical practices related to witchcraft and use of energies in an evil way. Basically, voodoo is one of the earlier forms of religion having its pedigree in Africa. The folks who practice voodoo believe that it can confer them awards and souvenir and that nothing takes place on its own, all things are rather interlinked.

It includes faith in powerful spirits that interact with humans, called Loa. They perform a simple, but effectual rite to accomplish a particular dream, or an irrepressible craving. This ageless ritual is performed with the intention to sway the spirits so that they can put forth their power in this world. Voodoo rituals also involve prayers, dancing, singing and sacrifice of humans to please the spirits of their

Deceased ancestors.

Authentic voodoo practices comprise of an imperative component known as voodoo doll, occasionally. Voodoo dolls are used to symbolize the spirit of a specific individual, and can be addressed like a person; with whom you can talk and influence to act in harmony with your desires to be gratified. An experienced voodoo practitioner calls for blessing from voodoo dolls through which, the spirits can communicate directly with the holder of the doll; asking for anything what he/she wishes. One can request contentment in their love, family affairs, justice, career or revenge. Though there can be many loyal desires to fulfill, the popular belief entail that the dolls are usually used to attack and harass an enemy. Allegedly, one gets hold of an item of that person (to be attacked). It may be a photograph, hair, button, or nail coupling; which are fastened to the doll and then stuck with pins; eventually causing pain or even demise.

There are temples of Vodou, whose altar is characteristically a stepped formation laden with such wide-ranging objects; namely a skull, sacred stones, dolls, an image of the Virgin, candles, cross, contributions of edible items and rum bottles, etc that give it decoratively figurative characters. Smaller altars are similarly bejeweled.
